March

We are a group of year 7 students from Silver Class at Eatons Hill State School. Every year a group of students is selected to spend an hour every week involved in extension activities.

Heading into Week 8, we have finished Photography for the year. On Thursday the 27th of March our group will begin an Anzac Day project. This project will take us through to the end of term.

A couple of weeks ago an application was submitted to the Student Council for a grant to create wall art on the brick walls in the sitting area outside Silver Class. Our group is going to paint murals on the walls – one will depict sport and the other music. The application was successful and designs are being submitted for approval. This will be a group project for second term.

April

Anzac day is coming up and we are going to create an item to send over to France to be placed on the grave of a fallen soldier. Our offering will be a laminated book telling the tale, and with pictures of, Simpson’s Donkey. We’ll research the story and spend two or three Thursdays working on our project.

May

We started our Wall Art last week! Everyone is excited – especially now that we are actually painting. Be sure to have a look as you walk by the classroom or click on Wall Art up on the heading picture and have a look at some photos of our progress.

July – August

Paper Mache Bowls! We have been busy making our bowls – we’re just finishing decorating them – have a look at our page and see some photos!

September

We’ll be starting on our Virtues Project – it was terrific to hear that we have been granted $200 for our project from the Student Council.
